I never received an item though evri said it was delivered I gave all the details to eBay who opened and closed the case in my favour and gave me a full refund . It’s nearly midnight now and yesterday evening upon getting home I had a small white envelope in my letterbox and its postage label has the exact id number of the item I purchased yet this envelope only contains torn up pieces of plain lined paper no words . This is not the Apple Vision Pro I won in the auction . And eBay have closed the case in my favour my only concern and I cannot get it through to eBay is that I believe that eBay printed the seeker to send me the item or prove the seller sent the item or something like that and now a suspicious envelope has arrived it states it is 10 kg in weight and the id number and other details are exactly as on the original item listing yet this is t the actual item . The evri report shows item delivered to my approx location but the picture of whatever was delivered isn’t my doorway or my staircase or threshold . So I’m just wondering how do I submit this potential scam to eBay as there is t an option in any of the scroll down menus.
I’ve informed the seller that I’ve received an envelope after I raised my concerns with evri and opened a case with eBay which was again closed in my favour and full funds returned to my account . The seller states they will now open a case against me , and I’ve done nothing wrong except trust a seller to send an item and paid a fair price over £1200.00 immediately upon winning the auction . This is clearly a scam
of some kind and I’m asking the community to offer advice as to the legality of the seller now stating I have received something in the post . I have kept the envelope containing nothing and explained to the seller that they will be reported to eBay about this new event . Evri on their website have concluded in their summary of events scanning events after the actual delivery scan they have added potential fraud event . That’s the last thing in their summary report . Fir me this is just an update and being an honest person and not being 100 percent sure as to what expired I gave this info to the seller who stated in his correspondence with me via eBay messages that they now intend to open a case against me !
so any advice would be greatly appreciated I have been in eBay fir over 13 years and never experienced anything like this before . Plus I have a 100 percent positive feedback , I’m not trying to get that downgraded and would sure appreciate any advice on how exactly I give this new evidence directly to eBay so they are aware I’ve received an envelope that could only have originated from the sellers address im only
presuming they generated the address label at some point and stuck it onto the envelope and posted it . There are multiple discrepancies, whereas I asked the seller for an update before I got the delivered report from Evri and the seller stated they would post it today the label states 01/01/2026 yet this envelope arrived yesterday a few days after the delivery report and the photo Evri sent me to say item delivered , the tracking number and item
number are for the Apple Vision Pro 1tb , it’s a scam and im
just trying to ensure eBay now don’t send the seller my funds which my bank yesterday assured me had been returned by eBay . The seller states they are down one Apple Vision Pro and intend to argue the toss with eBay . I just want eBay to have this new update on file . I will keep this envelope until this new event of what I believe is a fraud in progress is resolved further . RSVP if you can advise further .

Ebay will not reverse the refund.
Even if they did, which they won't, you could open a second case for item not as described. You would win that.
It is a scam, but unusual to do one for such a high value item. Usually they go for just under £750.
Ignore the seller saying they have opened a case against you.
