Jellycat steepy teabag amuseable plush

I'm a bit concerned...5 days ago you couldn't find these on Ebay for less than 80 pounds...no independent retailers have any left ...Jellycat don't sell directly and only sent about 8 pieces per store...all of a sudden there are loads on Ebay starting at 19.95....surely they must be fake and should be advertised as copies but they are being advertised as Jellycat...brand new with Tags....my granddaughter is nearly 16 and very savvy...she will know a fake immediately....I don't want to gift her a fake jellycat in her christmas stocking....anyone know anything about this?... there isn't an option on Ebays contract us with these type of concerns...

You can't report these items because you suspect they may be fake.

Ebay can't act on one report from one member, who could simply be a rival selling similar items.

You could try reporting sellers to the brand who may be able to step in and stop them being sold on Ebay.

You know it would not be a good idea to buy something you are suspicious of, so don't buy.

"There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn't true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true.”

The selling of copies online or elsewhere,  is against the law.

eBay do not physically see / check items there are 7 billion listings on,  at any one time on the site ,so an impossible task.

That is why they have their 30 day MBG,  Money Back Guarantee policy on every listing,  so anyone receiving an item not as described,  is guaranteed a full refund if returned within 30 days.  If too many returns are made for the same reason,  this will raise red flags to eBay,  and they can then act with sanctions or bans.

My view on  the many items that can be copied and sold,  if the price seems too good to be true,  it usually is.

If you ever receive a fake you can contact the manufacturer of the item too, explaining where it was bought,  if on eBay,  it's then up to them to inform eBay of any action they wish them to take.
