Trading standards warning

Last October I purchased an Ultrasonic cleaning Tank  with a stated 3 year warranty.

in December I received notice from EBay as trading standards had issued a notice on the item stating it should be scrapped at border as it is dangerous.
Ebay said to contact seller to resolve, which I did.

They stated EBay had made a mistake and sent through a letter of proof from eBay stating their mistake.

i have used the item about 6 times from new and at Easter, while using it, it went bang and tripped our RCD.

Have since tried a couple of times, at a distance, and it just trips the house breaker.

Tried on numerous occasions to contact seller, no response!
Tried eBay but out of time now.

Tried Trading standards but just going around in circles.

Any other advice?
Thankyou.

Ebay will just pass on info from authorities about any hazardous items.

They won't get involved past their own 30 day MBG.

If trading standards won't help, I don't know who else will.

The obvious advice is to stop using this dangerous item and to dispose of it safely.

It is too late to get your money back via Ebay or a chargeback and the seller is clearly not going to do anything.

You have been unlucky with your purchase and, unfortunately, have lost your money.
