The global shipping program would not let the buyer raise an invoice so could not pay for a bass guitar I sold them. I tried to send an invoice but got the message "Invoices cannot be sent for items where eBay manages all or part of the postage. These items are excluded from this invoice" Spent hours going round in circles, spoke to somebody on the phone who basicaly said it was the buyers problem. The buyer gave up trying to pay, I could do nothing except contact them through messages. Wasted a weeks listing and could not get my £235. Listed another guitar, this time NO global shipping option, It sold to Northern Ireland which is the UK, but the exact same problem has arisen. The buyer cant raise an invoice, I cant send an invoice. Stalemate. What the hell can I do?

Why is it necessary to send invoices, ebay usually send and buyer pays that way.

Ebay did not send an invoice, the buyer was told to contact me for postage, so the buyer contacted me to send one, but I could not because the GSP handles the postage.

Second item listed without GSP for sale to UK only. The same problem occurred with a buyer in Northern Ireland, which is apparently no longer part of the UK any more, which is news to me. Ebay has tried to tell me that GSP was active for item number 336180059874 which is not true, I should be able to post direct to NI using royal mail from here in England. Please have a look at this completed item and tell me what postal services are offered, as I can get no help from Ebay to explain why my sales are being interfered with.

I suspect shipping musical instruments is something the Global Shipping and Simple Shipping options is rejecting, but it would be nice to know for sure. An on line theory is that guitars made with rosewood fretboards are the problem. Surely I should be contacted to explain what the problem is.
