Hi, I have recently sold my first item on EBay. I got a message to say I should get a prepaid label and send via simple posting with an expected delivery cost of just over £5.  I’m guessing it was my fault but I didn’t get see anything about postage when I was posting.  As it was a large item I listed it as collect only, there was no way to wrap it and it would have been very expensive talking via text I agreed to deliver to her  home.  The item was delivered one day before the posting deadline but all I can see is the delivery is overdue. What can I do to get the payment released. The buyer couldn’t see how to mark it as received so they left a review instead.

You can mark dispatched by opening the original pre-paid Simple Delivery label (Get prepaid label > Get prepaid label and QR code).   It will remain unused and the cost will be automatically refunded to the buyer in 30 days (assuming they paid for it).

You cannot show delivery so payment will be held for 14 days.    Or as a new seller payment may be held for 30 days anyway.
