Combined postage simple delivery

I’ve just sold two items to one customer. According to eBay if you use Simple Delivery it automatically combines postage for the customer. You are supposed to use one label, then add the same tracking number to the other item that was sold. I am unable to add the tracking number to the second item and seem to have two labels with two different tracking numbers. If I send both items in one package using one label, does that mean that the second item isn’t tracked? I am also unable to delete one of the labels? Anyone have any idea how I resolve this? I’ve packed the items for the customer in one box and have put one label on it but I am uncertain whether both will be tracked in one package?

Combined postage simple delivery

It is currently Not possible to combine postage when using Simple Delivery.  eBay say it's a technical issue that they are working on,  but it's certainly been a while and no fix date being announced.

 

The best way here would be to cancel both items saying buyer requests to cancel , this will refund the buyer and your seller performance is not affected , then relist both items together, so you'll have one postage label and one tracking number.

 

If the buyer paid for the original labels they will be refunded for this.

 

You'd need to message the buyer to explain the actions taken above,  and make it very, very clear in your messages that the items being delisted will be relisted for the buyer to buy on eBay again . Make it clear this is Not an off eBay sale,  as eBay do read all messages going through their system.

Hi,

Thanks for the response, it is very helpful. I read the information but it was very unclear and I went round in circles a bit. I’ve decided to send the items in separate packages with separate labels. It’s not very efficient but fortunately they are quite light so the postage is not very expensive. I’ve explained to the buyer. Let’s hope Ebay sort this out soon!
