item received by buyer but not shipped using Evri - not showing as shipped -funds held for how long?
hi- I shipped an item within 30 mins of it being sold, and sent using Royal Mail tracked 24hr. Buyer has confirmed in a message that they received the item, several days ago, but eBay won't let me update the tracking to show the actual Royal Mail tracking ref - buyer has not ackowledged receipt on eBay - funds are being held by eBay - I am concerned that this buyer may end up being refunded even though they have the £125 item - does anyone have similar experience and if so, how was this resolved?

Mentor9 months agoIf you didn't use the eBay provided label you will have to wait at least 14 days for payment. As you are an infrequent seller eBay may hold funds for 30 days.
The buyer cannot acknowledge receipt only leave feedback.
Why didn't you use the eBay label?

Mentor9 months agoSounds as though you are a new seller, so money will be held for 14 days or until tracking shows as delivered. BUYER cannot mark as delivered, again sounds as though you used your own tracking method, which is not wise, but buyer can only get a refund by opening a not received case, at that point you should be able to enter your tracking and so long as that shows as delivered, no refund will be made.
If you sell on ebay and want to avoid problems, everything should be done using ebay systems.
