Problem with ebay changing postage options.
Hi I listed a set of vintage chairs and I've finally sold them to a chap, the problem I have is that I listed them as "Collection Only" but somewhere along the line Ebay has put that it's "Simple Delivery" and I only noticed after the buyer actually paid me. What I'm a little concerned about is that I'm pretty sure that the buyer is okay with collecting the item, but how do I let ebay know that they've been collected so I can get paid ? As it seems that they're expecting me to send them to the buyer ?. Thing is this isn't the first time ebay has changed one of my listings costing me a sale by changing the listing details to something totally untrue and it's really beginning to annoy me. "We will be back later in the year”
In the now-defunct Community Chat on 20 May 2026, ebay announced that they were working on "something a little different and hopefully more in line with the suggestions we have received from you all”. They promised to back later in the year. I wonder if @marco@ebay, @kat@ebay or @dave@ebay could give us an update? Thanks.

Have you been moved over to Ebay International Shipping from GSP yet?
Just doing a straw poll as I'm waiting to be moved over from GSP to Ebay International Shipping. I only started GSP about a month ago on hearing how Ebay International Shipping will ship to 195 countries and offer cheaper shipping for buyers as well as full cover once the item arrives at the Lichfield depot. Have you been moved over yet and how long were you/have you been on GSP? Thanks.

eBay Transaction – Present Situation and Complaint Order: #10-13096-08695/2025
eBay Transaction – Present Situation and Complaint Item: Gio Monaco One O One 101 Ths Automatic Pink Dial Watch Order: #10-13096-08695/2025 I am currently left without both my watch and the money from the transaction. The buyer received a full refund , but has not returned the watch. The buyer initially contacted me regarding the watch and subsequently purchased it through eBay. After receiving the item, he raised an issue regarding the crystal, despite the condition being shown in the listing photographs and described in the listing. He also raised a small underpaid-postage issue and subsequently discussed the possibility of keeping the watch and having the crystal repaired himself. Concerned about the watch potentially being altered, I contacted eBay on 21 May 2025 after issuing the full refund. During that telephone conversation, I specifically explained my concern that I had refunded the buyer but needed the watch returned. I was told by the eBay agent that the return process would be dealt with and that the buyer had/should have the return arrangements in place. Instead, the case was subsequently closed in the buyer's favour. The buyer then stated that he had not received a return label and refused to return the watch without one. I subsequently sent another return label on 30 May , but I have received no meaningful response and the watch remains with the buyer. Additional concern regarding the buyer's details During the transaction, the buyer used a Sainsbury's collection/pick-up address rather than what I understood to be his home address . Given everything that subsequently happened — including the full refund being issued while the watch remained in his possession and the subsequent refusal/non-response regarding its return — this raises serious concerns about the circumstances of the transaction. I cannot establish the buyer's intention with certainty, but in the circumstances I am seriously concerned that the use of a collection address may have been deliberate and that the transaction may have been conducted with the intention of obtaining the watch without ultimately returning it . The buyer has since changed usernames/ I believe eBay should examine the account history, previous usernames, transaction history, delivery information and all communications associated with this buyer. The fundamental problem The present position is extraordinary: Buyer: has the watch + received a full refund. Seller: has neither the watch + nor the money. eBay has all the transaction records and communication history, yet considers the matter "closed". From my perspective, closing a case does not resolve the underlying problem when the goods have not been returned . I believe eBay should urgently review the entire case, including the 21 May telephone conversation , the subsequent return-label history, the buyer's messages and the buyer's account history. I am seeking the return of my watch or compensation for its full value . If eBay is unwilling to address the matter, I will consider pursuing the matter directly against the buyer through the appropriate civil process. GOV.UK confirms that a person can bring a county-court money claim against someone who owes them money. This is no longer simply a disagreement over a return. I have refunded the buyer in full, and the buyer has retained my property. I believe eBay needs to properly investigate what happened rather than treating the matter as resolved merely because its internal case has been closed.

Wrongly accused of counterfeiting
I have received a ten day suspension and been accused of selling counterfeit goods for selling something that is impossible to counterfeit!! I am talking about 4K Blu-rays which are impossible to copy due to the amount of data on each disc (approximately 100 GB or more). In fact, it would cost tens of thousands of pounds to purchase equipment able to copy 4K discs! There are thousands of 4K discs for sale on eBay. It just doesn't make sense. Maybe this is a mistake made by AI?

Change in Printing 4 x 6 Thermal Labels
One day last week, something changed when trying to print labels on my Zebra printer. I purchase the labels via eBay and then click "print label" which then prints the label perfectly. Now when I click print I get the following and have to cancel and the label is behind to print. Has this changed for anyone else? Thanks

Unable to open a second account
Hi All, started selling stuff on eBay - no problems at all - but wanted to open a second eBay account to look at selling separate items - in effect a much "cheaper" stream of items. According to eBay I can have separate accounts, but when I tried to set one up - it was immediately suspended. Eventually managed to get a callback from eBay - got a really helpful advisor who had to escalate call to a member of the "Security Team" to investigate further. Second guy was very very unhelpful, said suspicious activity on account - AFTER 10 Seconds??? When pushed he then said it was a "Policy Issue" when I pressed him & asked him why because you can have more than 1 account on eBay's own site, he got increasingly confrontational - just repeated himself then again when I challenged him as to WHY and HOW TO FIX IT - asking for help, he terminated call. Simply put - how do you guys have more than 1 account? Separate e-mail - I can do that simply enough - but having to have a separate phone number as well??? REALLY??? Any advice please people??

My eBay Sales are down by 64% so far this year
Has anyone else noticed sales on eBay are well down. I can't even give items away! I either get ridicules low offers for BIN or Item Not Sold in my auctions. Beginning to despair, costs almost exceed revenues after fees, postage and packaging etc.. I used to have many, many oversea buyers - all gone now. Is it just me or across the board?

New Ebay clothing size policy
Just had a couple of interesting webchats with eBay over these new size listing instructions. I sell some vintage clothing items and wanted to know what sizing to use in the dropdown as a vintage women's item is normally 1-2 sizes smaller than current sizing - e.g vintage 16 today is often closer to a 12. I would have previously created '16 (fit 12)' in the dropdown box. An AI chatbot appeared to be telling me that I MUST use the size closest to the manufacturer's original - ie Vintage size 16 must be listed as a size 16 even if the current size would be a 12. This would mean that when people are searching for a size 12 garment the search will not bring back the vintage size 16, therefore less chance of views/sale, also creating the potential for disappointed buyers when they purchase a 16 and find it far too small (not all buyers read all the details). Chatted with a human who seemed to think that there wasn't an issue and initially seemed to struggle to comprehend the link between searching for a size and resulting views/sales. Eventually appeared to tell me to list it as the size I thought it was eg Vintage 16 to be listed as a 12 and then add an explanation in either the title, additional details (not enought room) or in the item description. Total contradiction. I did try to go further and ask what to do about differences in brand sizing -e.g a Zara XL is different to an M&S XL, I would normally list 'M&S XL (fit 20-22)' . Also with regular sizes, a Roman 16 is often closer to a 14 so I would normally list as '16 (fit 14-16)'. I gave up on the chat because we weren't getting anywhere. Looks like there are going to be a lot of frustrated buyers and sellers - not everybody checks the garment measurements in the description or additional details before they purchase. I will have to monitor the expected drop in views and sales and see whether it is still worth selling on eBay
