Item defect after 70 days

Dear, Date 22-01-2025. Please help me with the following. I bought a Primesat FS-700 satellite meter new on eBay, date 12-11-2024. Start-up and display were no problem. Now, 22-01-2025, 70 days after purchasing, the satellite meter appears to be defect, only a bright white screen. The seller only says that he can't do anything after 30 days after purchase. I cannot believe that the seller's conduct is correct and that, after return sending, he should provide a refund. My question to the community is: a) Is the seller right / not right? b) Can eBay do/help something? c) What should I do now? Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Regards.
