Could the forum help with getting a reply from Ebay regarding a message I have received.
I have been accused of stealing and theft which are factually incorrect unfounded and are in fact defamatory legally.
Ebay has not responded at all to my contact regarding this in over 2 weeks.

you should block this member from messaging you and from buying from you.
As it was in a private message it cannot constitute defamation.

@thehr-28 I'm guessing this is possibly in relation to the Bristol ambulance service uniform you have listed. Does someone think you've stolen it? Just a heads up, you're not allowed to sell emergency service uniforms on ebay, however you acquired them, as it enables impersonation. Policy here: Police-related items policy | eBay

Hi Rainbowtrax,
Yes you are right that is the item in question, he/she doesn't assume I have stolen it they stated that " you must have stolen it then" that's not an assumption that's a direct accusation.
I have read the policy which is very vague, I totally understand the principle of the policy for the emergency services I.e. Police, Fire and Coastguard, however the UK Ambulance Service is not actually recognised as an Emergency Service it is considered to be an essential service. The only title that is not allowed to be used from the Ambulance Service is the title Paramedic which is a legally protected title. Impersonation of a member Ambulance Service is not actually a crime unless using a protected title, impersonating a Police Office is a crime. The item I am selling has no badging crests or NHS Trust markings, it has Ambulance on the rear of the jacket which is not ilegal. I am more concerned with being told I have directly stolen items which are mine & which I use as a freelance Heathcare Professional working Bank for the NHS and other Private Ambulance Services. Why he/she has reported me to NHS Fraud department is beyond me. I am seeking retribution for such remarks and like their account closed. No one can call anyone a their without proof of such a crime proven in law. Your help in this has been great & you have been much more help than ebay who have ignored me. For that thank you very much.

There is a report message link on every message via the '...' at the top right of the message and, as has been advised, you can block this member so they can't message you again.
It is unlikely that Ebay will take strong action, they certainly would not close an account for a single accusatory message and they will not inform you of what action they take, if any.
