The buyer confirms he has the parts all good
The U K Post Office has a tracking pic as Delivered past five days
eBay has tracking as awaiting delivery. five days
I cannot find a link or message box to ask EBAY *bleep* going on
EBay confirm they have the money owed to me. and are sitting on it.

Perhaps a read of the help would assist you.....
You don't have an issue, it takes time to get paid, up to about two weeks.
Especially as you have only ever sold a single item.

Hi 89tone06, thanks for your post.
I was checking for you there, and the tracking details on this order are still showing "We're expecting it" on the Royal Mail website, so this is why on eBay the tracking has not updated, once Royal Mail updates their status to delivered, then our system will pick it up and update accordingly. Did you use the label we provided you with, or you used a different one that is showing as delivered? If you used the label you were provided with from us, you'd need to wait until Royal Mail updates their tracking status, if you used a different label that was manually purchased by you, then I'm afraid you'd need to wait until the date given on your order details, which should be 14 days from the date the order was placed.
Thank you,
Marco

I hope eBay's aware that RM tracking labels don't always update. I looked back randomly at past purchases starting months ago so it's likely that by now there'll be no change. Almost the first one I looked at, despatched 23.1.26 with RM tracking, still shows as not yet delivered, but I received my order promptly and left seller feedback.
However, in early/mid January I was noticing loads of RM Tracked items where I'd received the item in early/mid December and certainly before Christmas, and the tracking hadn't updated to show delivery. Yes RM was having a particularly bad Christmas in 2026, and I had made sure to leave seller feedback so sellers weren't left wondering. But today I was pleased to see that at some point after about mid-January the tracking has at last updated on those items I remembered! - so at quickest it took RM a month to update to show delivery, at worst they updated anytime from mid-January (when I was looking) to now 🙂 So maybe the OP should allow up to a month to see if the tracking hasn't updated?
There's at least one thread on the discussion board about this as it seems to happen to a lot of eBayers, all the time not just at Christmas. IIRC there were some who were very cross at having to wait ages to receive their funds, well past the time when feedback left by buyers said that delivery had occurred.
Mentioned so that the OP can be prepared for the tracking taking ages to update or what might look like never.

Some helpful info however.
IF EBAY INTENDED KEEP MY £670 FOR WEEKS---- THEY SHOULD SAY BEFORE-- NOT AFTER A SALE.
ALSO THEY SAY THE PARCEL WAS NOT DELIVERED--- PUTTING THE BLAME ON OTHERS.
DUE TO THIS, I HAVE MADE WHAT IS NOW A FALSE CLAIM ON THE POST OFFICE. FOR NONE DELIVERY
IF EBAY ARE HOLDING UPTHE PAY MENT DELIBERATLY AND BLAMING THE POSTAL SYSTEM,
THIS IS APPALLING.

The Post Office does not handle claims for items lost, damaged or delayed in transit - they just pass such claims on to Royal Mail. If it was a Simple Delivery label - i.e. it had "marketplace seller" printed on it - Royal Mail will not accept a claim from you because the item was sent via a business account. If it was not a Simple delivery label you needed to purchase a service that provided a signature on delivery as the value was over £450.
Why have you made a claim with Royal Mail? Has your buyer opened an "item not received" case?

Hi 89tone06, thanks for your reply.
I've just checked again, and the tracking number ending in 921GB is the one that is currently added to the order, and when you go to Royal Mail's website, and enter the full tracking number to track the item, it only says "We're expecting it" (see screenshot below) you can take the full tracking number from your order details and go here, so you can see this is what comes up. As advised above, if there is no confirmation of delivery, the funds will remain on hold until the date give in the transaction details as per our policies.
So, this would be a case of Royal Mail not updating their information, and if that's the case, then that'd be out of our control since they are a different company. If you are seeing some tracking information showing as delivered, that wouldn't be the same label that was generated and added to this transaction, and if you send the item with a different label, you'd need to wait the full length as advised above.
For further information you can see our policy here.
Thank you,
Marco

If the information Marco has posted is correct Royal Mail did not generate an acceptance scan so it is Royal Mail who are indicating the item has not been delivered. In fact, Royal Mail are indicating in their tracking that they never even received the item. Where are you seeing Royal Mail showing a delivery scan?
Also, I still don't understand why you have filed a (fraudulent) claim with Royal Mail unless your buyer has opened an "item not received" case.

So either PO have not liased with EBay or Ebay are at fault.?
But I paid £32 for a registered PO parcel which EBay claim was not delivered.
So -- not a hard question --- where is the item?
The Post Office does not provide tracking nor do they liaise with eBay; Post Office Limited and Royal Mail Group Ltd are separate companies and have been for quite a while.
eBay uses the tracking number provided by Royal Mail to determine whether the item was delivered - or attempted to be delivered - or not. The only tracking eBay will use to determine this is the online tracking you can see here when you enter the Royal Mail tracking number. If the tracking shown on that link - and only that link - does not show a delivery confirmation then your funds will be held.

Where the label is concerned you stated in your post #4 that you "downloaded it from EBay and they charged me about a fiveer for it". So, how did you purchase the label that was actually used and how much did you pay for it? The listing suggests it was a "Simple Delivery" label and you chose the "seller pays" option in the listing. Also, did you drop the item off at a Post Office counter and - if so - did they give you a Certificate of Posting?

A question you have already answered in your opening post:
"The buyer confirms he has the parts all good"
However, for the purposes of releasing your funds eBay requires an online delivery confirmation:
"In most cases, holds are lifted when we can confirm an order has arrived to the buyer, or when a case is resolved in the seller’s favour. We use end-to-end tracking to confirm a buyer has received their item."
As you don't have an online delivery confirmation eBay will hold your funds and release them at a future date provided the buyer doesn't open a case.

It's NOT Post Office tracking. There's no such thing. It's Royal Mail Tracking. The Post Office and Royal Mail are two separate entities.
That tracking number you provided shows that Royal Mail are waiting for you to post the item. Nowhere does the tracking result show that the item was ever delivered. The item is marked as "We're expecting it" as soon as the label is generated. Had it been scanned at a post office counter this would have changed to "The item has been accepted at... "
The only proof the buyer has the item is that you say they have. You didn't say, when asked, whether you received a proof of posting receipt when you handed the parcel over at the post office counter. You have, however, provided conflicting information regarding the cost, and the method the item was sent. First eBay charged a fiver for postage, then you said you paid £32 for a registered parcel.
Also, just for clarity, this is a public forum, you aren't talking to eBay customer service. We're regular members of the public, like yourself. Only community team members like Marco work for eBay.

e bay raised a tracking number. I did not tell ebay the item had been dispatched. The post office are an ebay approved carrier.
That first tacking number (ending 16B) does not work however I realised your mistake and can see it was a Special Delivery Guaranteed label that shows delivery. The second tracking number (ending 21GB) does not show delivery - it has a status of "We're expecting it". That means the label that tracking number relates to does not even have an acceptance scan recorded against it.
You clearly did not use the Simple Delivery label that eBay provided - this relates to the second tracking number. Instead you purchased your own label (the first tracking number) but eBay are looking at the tracking for the Simple Delivery label they provided and which you did not use. You might want to read up about Simple Delivery and how it works. In short eBay expected you to use the label they provided but you didn't; you purchased your own Special Delivery label instead. You can request a refund for the eBay label that you did not use here once 14 days from the date of the sale have passed.
I'm not sure if under Simple Delivery there is any way for you to provide your own tracking number to the sales record so it looks like you will have to wait until eBay releases your funds. If you had used the Simple Delivery label provided by eBay you would have received your funds already. Note that although the Simple Delivery label was for a Tracked service rather than Special Delivery you would have been covered for the full value of the item should it have been lost or damaged in transit.

I am not eBay; I am another seller. eBay employees (like Marco) have @ebay next to their username and a blue border around their posts.

Another thing. You have sold one item. The buyer who, according to you, has received the parts all good, has not left you any feedback to say so. You, however, have left a false positive for your buyer within the last month "NEGATIVE NEGATIVE NEGATIVE NEGATIVE -- WHERE IS MY PAYMENT ---NEGATIVE NEGATIVE NEGATIVE"
None of this makes sense.

There isn't even any proof that Special Delivery Guaranteed parcel was sent, let alone delivered; the number isn't recognised. I tried adding the missing G and it still wasn't recognised. There's also the fact the 'feedback left for others' claims op was never paid for the items, and yet the SD label was generated the day after purchase, meaning the buyer did pay. OP seems to be blaming the buyer for eBay's hold on the payment, and the Post Office for Royal Mail's failure to scan properly. Personally, I'd wait the week or so for the payment to be released, and pray the buyer doesn't open a case for item not received, especially after having received feedback abuse from their seller.

The Posties had linked up with the ebay label and on the acceptance and transport data..I did not tell e bay the parcel was in the post. It was inputted by the carrier.
Just to be clear the only tracking eBay can see is the tracking for the ~£5 Simple Delivery label that you purchased via eBay. You did not use this label so all eBay can see is that Royal Mail are expecting to receive the parcel. So, as far as eBay can tell the item has not been delivered - in fact, it looks to eBay as though you haven't even sent it.
eBay cannot magically link to the Special Delivery label that you purchased separately and I'm not sure if there's any way for you to actually add that tracking to the sales record. So, eBay cannot see the tracking for the Special Delivery Guaranteed label that you purchased separately.
