Lost valuable coin in post. Paid for 48 hours tracked. Now been told by Royal Mail not entitled to compensation. Should of sent special delivery. I gave buyer a full refund.

I'm afraid that is correct, RM 's T & C's state only certain services used will they compensate for a lost coin in their postal services.
