Lack of sales

Hi everyone. Who else is suffering dreadful lack of sale. Ours have been getting progressivly over the last year but particularly in the past 4 months. I have altered some of our ads in line with e-bay recomendations but to no avail. Quite frankly E bay have gone from our best sales platform to the worst. Any comments or advise would be welcome

Lack of sales

It's not you, it's a general situation this year. Consumer spending is down. When this happens no amount of promoting will manufacture Buyers. You actually looked to be in a better situation than most Sellers who have mentioned this here. Your items are good, photos professional looking, and good sell through rate for what I looked at. For some mugs/cups over half the completed sales were yours. My best advice is take a deep breath and say "This too shall pass".

Lack of sales

You are not alone, I have offered vouchers, discounted everything and sales are painfully slow. Ebay has been my sole source of income for several years and I'm not earning enough to live on at the moment and I haven't since around February. Stock that has always sold well struggles to get views and I don't have the enthusiasm to list new stock  - which also doesn't usually get any views.

I was hoping that thing would change after the latest profit report was given - but the report showed ebay doing well with increased profitability... so i don't think it'll change any time soon

Lack of sales

Hi there, yes I'm experiencing exactly the same. Last few years I have been selling all sorts and on a regular basis. This last few months hardly sold a thing and I actually felt like someone had closed my account. Just came to an abrupt end. Even the staff in my local Post Office have asked why I hardly ever go in anymore. Been in touch with eBay to check everything okay but they gave me useless tips and advice on how to sell. Used to get offers from eBayers but don't even get these anymore so something isn't right with eBay and not sure what it is. I know a lot of people now use Vinted but really not the same selling platform for many items that get sold on eBay. Hope it goes back to how it was.

Lack of sales

Hi, thanks for the reply. Something is drastically wrong because we have
gone fRom 5/6 orders per day down to less than 3/4 orders per week. I
have been advised by E bay To send vouchers and to use the item
p/riority listing but all of this costs money and that is what we are
not making. I cannot affrd to promote items and pay by the click! The
wat things are going I will close the business down completely./

Lack of sales

Hang in there for a while.

This has happened before in eBay.

A rogue general manager thinks they can make a fortune for eBay by introducing charges and changes, then they discover they customers just won't play ball. So they will eventually have to come up with promotions to help sellers and give buyers the bargains they are looking for.

Or eBay UK will go down, which San Hose bosses might not be happy with.

Lack of sales

I note I never get any realistic offers any more - I was going to say no offers, but I had two yesterday, one offering less than a third of the asking price, the other less than a quarter.  I used to be inundated with offers, some silly, some reasonable, and I would often accept the reasonable ones.  Something's definitely changed for the worse.

Lack of sales

Problem is that we are holding a good amount of stock (approximately
£30000) and we have expenses to pay such as rent and wages. I agree that
eventually they will realise that the recent changes made have not
worked but when they are contacted their opinion is that there is
nothing wrong. Don't know how long we can hold on!

Lack of sales

I gave up allowing offers because I was just getting time wasters. Our
profit margins are vey tight because of companies like Temo who sell
stuff for bugger all and against who we cannot compete.
