Accepting an offer is now a nightmare

I had a message asking if I'd take £9 for an item as an offer. I agreed. Trouble is the buyer sent the offer of £9 but it included the fees and I've ended up with £7 odd, I haven't got a clue about how to accept what I actually want for the item. Does it now come down to sellers having to work out what amount an offer has to be to get what we actually want? This is another frustrating thing.

If you send the offer the buyer pays the fee, if he sends you an offer your pay the fee. I took all my best offers off, in fact now i've taken everything off it's just a confusing mess. I suggest you don't allow offers unless you send them

Re: Accepting an offer is now a nightmare

I'm confused as to how lowest offer works now.

If I sell an item for £6, £7 with bpf and I set lowest offer at £5.50, what is the lowest offer a buyer can make?

Is it

A) £5.50 including bpf (so I would get less than my lowest offer)

Or

B) £5.50 with buyers fee added on (so I would get £5.50)

Re: Accepting an offer is now a nightmare

As far as I know if a buyer sends an offer to a private seller of £5.50 and the seller accepts, the seller will get £4.60 (£5.50 minus 90p BPF).

If you want to get £5.50 the buyer would have to send an offer of £6.44 (£6.44 minus 94p BPF = £5.50).

Option B.

If you set the lowest offer you will accept at £5.50 then that is the minimum amount you actually wish to receive so the buyer would have to offer at least £6.44 (£5.50 + BPF) for it to be accepted.
