So I've had a sale go wrong (thanks evri 🤦♂️)
Basically I sold an audio mixer last week, quite a big package, it's was in it original packaging, then wrapped in thick brown craft paper to hide the contents, used the simple delivery system, paid the postage as most times I offer free postage, got a delivery notification and withdrew my funds after they were made available, then I get a message from the buyer saying they haven't received the item and proof of delivery photos just shows a small white jiffy bag, clearly not what I sent or sold..
Anyone had any experience of how this usually pans out? I told the buyer to raise a claim which they have done, am I going to get stuffed here and end up 116 quid out of pocket?
Cheers

Don't know but I would ask the buyer to send a close up photo of the jiffy bag label to see if it has been tampered with - or even it it is not your item.

I mean "even it it is not your item's label"

You've used simple delivery.
ebay simple delivery benefits state:
Even though it looks like something has gone wrong and Evri are using a photo of a different item as proof of delivery, it's not your responsibility. You've done as instructed by ebay, and they'll have to sort it out with the buyer. Ebay might end up refunding the buyer and allowing you to keep the proceeds of the sale. They would have to do that out of their own pocket, then try and get it back off Evri, or write it off.
