Has eBay removed access to item descriptions from the postage/dispatch screen?
I’ve recently noticed that when purchasing postage, the order panel now only shows a basic summary (thumbnail, price, and “print packing slip”), but no longer provides a clickable link to view the full item description or easily revise the listing.
Previously, I could quickly check details or adjust quantity (especially useful if inventory had dropped to zero) directly from the dispatch screen. This was an important part of my workflow.
Now it seems I have to leave the postage page entirely, search for the listing, revise it, and then return — which is much slower and increases the risk of errors.
I don’t recall seeing any notification about this change.
Was this intentional, and if so:
- Why was it implemented?
- Are there plans to restore access to the listing from the dispatch screen?
- How are sellers expected to efficiently manage stock adjustments during dispatch?
This feels like a backward step for smaller sellers who rely on flexibility and quick access to listing details.
Would appreciate clarification from eBay or other sellers experiencing the same issue.
