International Postage Rate Table

I'm a Private seller considering signing up for the Global Shipping Programme (GSP). I am trying to find how much the postage costs would be to different countries. Is there a a calculator or matrix I can find on Ebay anywhere?

To be honest, you don't really need to know the other costs. If you are offering free postage, then you pay the UK side of the postage to the UK handling centre in the midlands. At purchase the buyer (in whatever country) is told the extra he has to pay for the onward journey plus any taxes / tariffs etc. Your responsibility also ends once it reaches the handling centre. EBay's responsibility takes over from there. So, a RM small parcel would be £3.50 (ish) and you send it to the GSP handling centre and off it goes.

There is not a table.

I would say, don't bother with GSP - it is expensive and it is slow.

Your items look as if they are all about the same size and weight.  You could simply set your own price and use Royal Mail Standard International postage.

If you use RM Click and Drop, you can complete and print a customs form at the same time.

If you can find a seller using GSP for magazines, you can find the cost by clicking on the item, then 'view details' on postage, then change the country, to Spain or USA for example.  (If you do this, don't forget to change the country back again.)

To add to excellent advice received. Do you know GSP unpackages and repackages your items. This is worth considering when deciding what to sell with them. I personally would not sell anything that could be damaged or broken by poor packing as I have heard too many horror stories of good Sellers packing well only for insufficient packing to be substituted. Yes okay, GPS refunds in these situations and you keep the money, but it is sad to see rare collectables damaged or destroyed.

Thanks for getting in touch. What I am trying to work out is what the overall charges to me would be. It looks like I pay 3% to Ebay for the total cost of the order, including customer paid postage to the GSP centre  &  the cost to get it to the buyers individual country address. 

As an example say the item is £5 + £2.70 UK postage + £10 Postage Abroad = Total £17.70 ...3% = 53p Charges to me.

Is that how it is approximately worked out ?

Yes. You pay 3% of the total amount the buyer is charged.

Also, if you sell to the USA you have to pay a tariff charge - I paid 10% on a sale this week.

Of course, you can exclude USA.
