age varification

my credit card is not being accepted for age verification, there is nothing wrong with the card I use it often, I don't know why it is not being accepted for age verification. There is no information anywhere to suggest what I can do to get this to work . I have been using ebay for more than 20 years. How do I resolve this issue. I have used the 'chat bot' useless! phoned also useless

It isn't an Amex card is it?  Ebay don't accept Amex.

Sorry to state the obvious, but double check you are using a Credit card and not a Debit card and that you are entering all of the details correctly.

A monthly statement Credit Card is required --- an everyday use Debit Card will not be accepted.    Anyone among your family or friends who could order on your behalf ?.
