Ebay have given out incorrect address

Bought a set of bike wheels on ebay. The address that tbe seller has used was the one provided by ebay. Same name as me but 300 miles away. Tracked to his front door and have photographic evidence from royal mail. Not the sellers fault but a bizarre admin error from ebay itself. What am i supposed to do know. The seller has sent a letter to the address that was given to him. Shall i wait for a response or go through an item not received dispute …

It should not be possible for ebay to provide a seller with an address that doesn't feature anywhere on your account, or was not the one you used at checkout.  So it seems the seller has made an error.

You need to gather your evidence of the address used at checkout and the address the seller sent it to, and open a case for item not received.   You may lose at first as the tracking presumably says delivered, and then you need to appeal using your evidence.
