Dangerous item

I bought an item over 30 days ago and then I was recently sent email from EBay stating the item was defective and to contact the seller. I contacted the seller and heard nothing but they deleted the item from their shop. When I try to contact EBay I get sent in circles and I can't list the defective item to speak to them about. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry ebay won't help if over 30 days.   Try your payment provider.

There is no point contacting eBay,  as their policy stands to refund their buyer members receiving faulty / defective items,  only within 30 days of the item's last estimated date for delivery, hence the ' 30 day MBG ' policy.

eBay have done their duty to send a message from the manufacturer explaining the fault / defect etc. and it's now between you and the seller to affect any refund.  You could contact the manufacturer see what they say.

Did you purchase from a UK registered business?  Did they offer any guarantee which they are now not upholding?  If so,  you could take this to Citizens Advice i you wish to take this further.
