GSP - What an utter farce

Sent a parcel to a Customer in the USA  via GSP in early September

Parcel arrived at the Fradley depot on time fully tracked

Shipped to the USA again fully tracked and documented on the order history

So far so good

Yesterday Customer claims its not been delivered despite the Tracking showing its been delivered to him in the USA

Opens an INR

eBay have now put my funds on hold whilst they investigate.

When you call the Concerage they just hide behind terms and conditions and unable to lucidly explain what them apparently losing a parcel has got to do with us, surely our commitment to delivery ends when its delivered to eBay in the UK ?

Seeminlgly not
So that's goodbye to GSP

GSP - What an utter farce

They always put GSP payments on hold when a case is opened, they don't differentiate between those where they will ultimately agree they are responsible for the refund,  and other ones where the seller is responsible.

Your funds will be released when ebay refunds.

What you need to do is make sure they have tracking to the UK hub as that's where your responsibility ends.

eBay's policy on how they protect sellers using GSP seems unequivocable...

I cannot understand why you're involved at all.

GSP - What an utter farce

It will be because the system only recognises a case has been opened -> funds on hold, it doesn't, at that point, recognise that it's a case where the seller is protected.  That comes later when a human gets involved.

GSP - What an utter farce

We had similar experience with GSP, all shipped on time via tracked couriers and we were getting defects which were impossible to remove, so we basically switched GSP off which cured the problem...

GSP - What an utter farce

We cant work out why such a useful service  still has two major flaws

GSP has been around sometime.

the hold on funds , and  no proper return process , should have been addressed long a go

They don't when they get someone from the USA who puts a item into basket to prove item can be sent to USA and then you get sued for one ring

Everything should have, I think I've turned it off. Literally got 72 postage rules. I've no idea what they are.
