re: the new system for making and receiving best offers and counter offers
Ebay need to get rid of this - Please complain, if sellers want this fine, but it should as previously be optional and the button to turn it off should still work - the new system, which seems to currently be random is awful and is losing human contact/personal selling and sales . . . which works both ways because sales do not go through or someone else swoops in and buys the piece leaving a frustrated buyer - the system is idiotic.
1. pending accepted offers do not show up on the dashboard
2. the system is confusing and adds additional steps for buyers - not streamlined
3. it is absolutely losing sales not ensuring payment - perhaps ebay should take note of this
4. combined invoices cannot be sent - or multiple items purchased over a couple of days (taking into account international time differences!)
5. buyers cannot wait to pay, or pay a deposit/layaway, lacks any flexibility
6. the personal touch is further eroded
7. someone else can buy the item before the offer is paid - frustrated customers
8. the system is confusing and dictatorial
Please complain to ebay - I want this gone.

I absolutely agree with you 100%. I have 250 BIN listings across two accounts and have not had a sale or a single offer in 15 days, despite having views and watchers and having sent buyers offers daily. I am sure that these unnecessary changes to the BIN procedure are directly impacting buyers willingness to interact and engage with it. These changes seem to have been implemented by someone with little to no understanding of buyer psychology or the realities of selling on eBay.

How can i disable counter offers and best offers from appearing from my initial listing?
I want to be able to send offers, but not have best offers turned on as default? For every single listing i have to turn it off before listing the item!
Also i want to be able to turn off counter offers by default so that when i send an offer to a potential buyer, i want them to consider my offer without the ability to counter offer.

When you are listing you have the option to add/not add Best Offer:
And when sending an offer you can toggle the counter offers button to on or off.

Yes but the counter button is always on as default when i send an offer, i would like to disable the default as it is very time consuming to constantly have to disable it for many items.

It completely confused me. I received and offer and accepted it and then it said I sent an offer to the buyer and it's pending...it is so annoying. it use to be so simple. Why fix something that wasn't broken. I thought I made a few sales on accepting offers but I obviously haven't. I don't see the point in it. I want it gone too!!

This has lost me a sale and eBay support don’t seem to understand the issue. They sent me a link which describes the old behaviour and not the new.
I had a buyer send an offer which I accepted. They didn’t get a notification and then the offer expired. They couldn’t find the offer but it’s stuck in my ‘pending’ tab.
I couldn’t even find a way to message the buyer so sent them a message against a random item they had for sale.
I’ve had to end the listing and re list it as BIN with no offers and immediate payment, in the hope the buyer sees it before anyone else does.
What a dreadful change.

Same here - I was advised to go into the offers see what was pending etc and contact the potential buyer direct to let them know you have accepted... what a merry-go round...
It is hindering sales and turning customers away.

Here we go again. Another offer accepted, buyer didn’t get a notification, it’s still on sale, they can’t see how to pay. It’s a complete pigs ear of an update.
