Click & Collect, or not?

I was checking my listings earlier to make sure the SD prices hadn't done anything silly, this being the 20th May, the day they were changing things.

I was looking at them on this browser (Chrome) with this posting ID, and I noticed that all my SD listings had Click & Collect, which none of them should have.
I have checked my preferences and it's definitely 'not enrolled' for C&C. Yet I was able to add a listing to the basket, go to checkout and the option is there for C&C at my local Evri drop off (no option for Sainsbury though).

If I look on my selling ID using Firefox, the options isn't there - but that could be because it's my ID & my item.

If I look on Edge, not signed in at all, the C&C option shows again.

The strange thing is, this particular listing is LL up to 1kg, and SD price is 2.70 (RM Tracked48), but the C&C option is for it to be sent to my local EVRI store.

On the plus side it may help get a sale as postage is only £2.26 so 44p cheaper.
On the down side, it's blummin' confusing seeing it sometimes and not others, depending on ID and/or browser.

Re: Click & Collect, or not?

On your postage preferences page you have obviously opted in to Royal Mail and Evri for "Simple Delivery". I believe with Evri selected the buyer can choose a local Evri drop off/collection point as well as choose doorstep delivery. This is separate to the Click & Collect option you can also see on that page.

Give me ambiguity or give me something else.

Re: Click & Collect, or not?

I received an email from ebay on 7 May, title "Changes to Postage Rates" - it includes this:

New collect from store option with Evri
To continue improving the Simple Delivery experience, we’re rolling out a collect from store option this month with Evri. This will be a cheaper, more convenient option for your buyers, where they can collect their items from the Evri parcel shop or locker of their choice, and save 15% or more on delivery costs.* If you’d like to offer this option to your buyers and have currently excluded Evri from your couriers, be sure to add them back in by going to your postage preferences.

Re: Click & Collect, or not?

Thanks, both!
Yes, I did wonder if it was to do with that.  If I buy, I will certainly be looking to buy from sellers who have Evri

selected, as for a long time I have wished we had the option to send to the local Evri drop off.
