I've just started selling and don't yet have a printer, so I can't use click and collect (bar codes and scanning etc). I cannot see how to switch it off as an option when listing.
I guess eBay might send me a QR code to be scanned at the post office? So perhaps that's an option.
In the meantime can I switch off the click and collect as an option?

If you don't want to use Click and Collect you need to change the option in your account preferences:
Hope this helps.

If you are selling as a private seller, I assume you are using Simple Delivery.
click and collect is no different to a delivery to someone’s home. You get an address, and a label.
this is either Royal Mail or Evri. I know at least for Royal Mail you get a QR code to print the label off at the post office.
there doesn’t seem to be any reason you can use click and collect.

Click & Collect is a service provided to buyers so doesn't really make any difference to you as a seller.
With Simple Delivery you will receive a QR code, as well as a label, which you can take to a Post Office, Collect+ store, or Royal Mail delivery office to be scanned and the label printed for you. Alternatively, you can book a collection with Royal Mail through eBay and Royal Mail will then bring the label to you.

It's tech issues. I'd rather just write a label out myself until I get going more regularly. That's why I was wondering if I could switch off click and collect as an option.

I guess I may have to try and get QR code going if someone chooses click and collect. I'm having tech issues and would rather write out the addresses myself for the time being. I was wondering if I could switch click and collect off but it looks like maybe not.

" don't yet have a printer, so I can't use click and collect "
Click and collect makes no difference to having a printer [and vice-versa].
You will need to use printed labels to send to buyer for anything sold using Simple Delivery e.g. posted to their house.
Many Post Offices or Evri drop off points have a printer to print the label - you will need the QR code or character code.
And you can arrange RM to collect their packets and bring a label with them.

Hi thanks you to 😁 I managed to locate this area in my settings and my settings do show NOT ENROLLED but on all the active listings items there is the option to click and collect with a price shown sat above my postage options and price which is set by Ebay.
I did try contacting live chat but yet again it is greyed out an not responsive no matter what times of day or night I try to contact them.
What did I do wrong and how can I get rid of the click and collect option - many thanks in advance

You can't with that one - as its baked into Simple Delivery. The Click and Collect your can opt out of is the one that sits outside of Simple Delivery.

The Click & Collect option with Simple Delivery is delivery to an Evri parcel shop or Inpost locker. The only way to opt out is to deselect those carriers in your postage preferences.
