I have ran into a problem with eBay simple delivery the item i have sold is 5.5 Kgs in weight and eBay as given me a prepaid postage label for a parcel up to 2Kgs in weight how would i get this changed or would there be a simple fix to this issue

No simple fix, I'm afraid. You'd have to cancel the transaction (refund will be issued) and relist making sure the weight is correct on the listing. The buyer would have to buy and pay again.
I suppose you could contact ebay just in case there is something easy they could do for you. You can use callback on here:

If ebay themselves decided on the weight and size and you did not choose it yourself then ebay are supposed to be responsible for underpaid postage. Ebay say you should post it and they will cover the extra charge. Post offices are being told to accept underpaid ebay parcels, as long as they say marketplace seller on the label.

The changeover to Simple Delivery has started being done in batches but with so many accounts it takes time and may not be complete for aall sellers for a few days

Simple Delivery is one big train crash ,its not letting me select freight only ? the parcel is oversize and over 2kg ? fed up so listed as is but who is liable when stopped at postage depo . + a single trade card i have listed is £2.74 postage ,its under 100g & £5, this has happened with one other this shows royal mail 50p postage on main list page, with £2.74 when i try to revise , what a utter mess who is going to pay me to check the postage all my odd listing !!!

for trading cards the custom postage option box should automatically appear when you list
but the switch to advanced options is there too
If it’s oversize (bigger than RMs medium parcel) just click on switch to custom postage and chose what you like

If it's Simple Delivery, and eBay decided the weight (you didn't override it), you can ignore whatever weight is on the label and send it anyway - Post Offices should accept (if they refuse, just ask them "try scanning it anyway" and they will probably realise it's okay). eBay will pay the difference since it was their fault not detecting it properly.

Post Office's will also ask to put items on their scales to weigh them... and I've had it before where prices are way off and it can cost more to send invalidating the 'Simple Delivery' label.

Assuming you left the weight as auto detected by eBay, then Post Office is just weighing it so they can charge eBay the difference, not the seller or the buyer. They will still accept the parcel.

You would think , but the SD freight option will not hold and just jumps back to its recommended option
(The item is over 2kg and 50 x 59 x 10 ?)And just checked it again and still jumping back so listed anyway , and just tried to revise some cig cards and there is no letter option ,Just large letter £2.74 ? and few DVDs i have are a large parcel £3.44 , if you have listed free post a sale is going to cost more than the item price ?

Ebay does not pay for the extra charge we do and they take the fee right out of your sales. Had it done to me today. A parcel that I sent out almost 2 weeks ago with EBAY prepaid *bleep* and today they took an extra £4.10 out of my ebay account stating I didn't pay enough postage. What is with all this theft from ebay?

That doesn't sound like you're in Simple Delivery, where eBay buys from Royal Mail or Evri directly. I've not heard of eBay asking for more payment for the difference in postage through eBay for Simple Delivery.
Likely a non-Simple Delivery listing where you, as the buyer, have chosen weight/dimensions and a service at dispatch time; and you might have got it wrong, so Packlink (Evri, DPD, Yodel etc) charged you the difference so eBay charged you on their behalf.
You might have a mixture of listings, some that are Simple Delivery, and some that are not (from before you were opted in)
Maybe if you go to https://www.ebay.co.uk/ship/labels/my-ebay , find the label, click on the link under "Dispatch details / Initial label cost" column, it will be clearer? Maybe some will say "Paid by buyer" - those are Simple Delivery - I doubt you will have extra charges for those.
If anything, Simple Delivery would have saved you from these extra fees 😅

Yeh, that's not Simple Delivery, that's a normal label purchase "Evri Standard" or "Evri via Packlink" (where as Simple Delivery is "Standard tracked delivery via Evri" or similar)
Packlink would have sent you an email with why the extra charge. Could be because your declared weight or dimensions were not accurate, for example. If unclear, you could contact Packlink to find out more.
As a side note, had you actually used Simple Delivery for this order, then you would not have got the extra charge.
BTW You should remove the private details (like the tracking number) from your post.
