Wrong item sent be seller

You have 30 days from the delivery date to open a return.   If you want to wait a bit longer it's up to you.   But if he wants the wrong item back it's best to start a return so you get the return postage label paid for by the seller.    You start that on here:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/buying/returns-refunds/return-item-refund?id=4041
select "Item doesn't match description" and if necessary escalate it to eBay after 3 complete working days.    As long as the seller complies it won't harm his account.

If he doesn't want the wrong one back you can afford to wait and see if he sends the right one but don't let the deadline slip by.

If sent tracked, the tracking will show as delivered, which ebay would accept as order completed, so do not open a not received case.

Allow a short time to receive correct item, but if not received, Open a Not As Described case, seller then either provides a tracked return label, and refunds on return or if he does not want wrong item back he can just refund.

On no account close the case until satisfied and refund or correct item received.
