Having received an email offer for a £50 coupon if I spend £10+ on a live event (which I have done ) to then contact eBay on the phone who tell me the emails not from them and it’s a scam. But the thing is I also have it in my notifications from eBay and they say they can’t see it. My question is which is the scam the email or EBay ?. I also received another today invitation only sell an item £10+ and get a £50 coupon to spend on eBay, the agent told me eBay have not sent either of these but I can guarantee they have sent them both, so who else as been duped to spend or sell and not received there coupons. Attached is a screen shot of the notification in my account that they can’t see maybe need to go to specsavers. Will itake a screen shot of page and try upload and tells me doesn’t support that file type *bleep* sort ya self out eBay and come to 21st century 😡

I would be surprised if eBay is offering £50 vouchers for booking a live event. The range of live events for which tickets can be sold on eBay is very restricted. I can't imagine that eBay would be promoting them.
Could be a scam, but without more information it's impossible to say. eBay must keep a list of promotions; if they say it's a scam, it probably is.
Why not try again with the screen shot? It shouldn't be difficult to convert it into a .jpg file or other accepted format.

Thanks @papso22 ,
Hi @holt.leeds ,
The coupon for eBay live is not a scam. You should have received an email from customer support yesterday to advise you of this. Part of the terms is that it can take up to two weeks to receive the coupon from your completed sale on eBay Live. If your transaction has not yet passed the two weeks you need to give it this timeframe to receive the coupon
With regards to the other mentioned offer for selling an item for £10 or more to receive a coupon, this is also a valid offer.
Thank you,
Kat

Hi Kat I myself didn’t think it was a scam, but having spoke to an agent on the phone who told my numerous times she had contact different sections of the group and was told that they (eBay) had not sent any email to me in this regard it gets you thinking. And I have now had confirmation from eBay direct to my account with the coupon code. I did tell her I had the email in front of me and I was also in my account and could see the invitation there but she was adamant it was not sent by eBay. I thank you and every one else who have replied to this post I’m very grateful 🙏

Hi @holt.leeds ,
Thanks for the reply.
Great to hear you got the coupon code. I know the processes for eBay live are still relatively new and continue to evolve. However I’ll share your feedback of your customer support experience for future coaching and training.
Thank you,
Kat
