Negative feedback

Hi everyone I just wish to let everyone know about the negative feedback removal eBay has. I was selling an item guy was highest bidder 20 minutes before end of auction he messaged me to say he wishes to cancel his bid. I explained that it’s almost end of auction and that if he finishes up the winner I will just cancel and relist item which is what happened. I cancelled his winning bid and relisted and sent him a message saying don’t worry I have cancelled his bid and have a great day. Then I looked at my feedback he left negative feedback with the words guy wouldn’t cancel my bid had to contact eBay I was stunned but I messaged eBay within hour they took the negative feedback off and sent me a very nice message to say they have took the negative feedback off and that they are working hard to improve their feedback policy I must say they took an hour and all done so if you receive negative feedback that you believe is wrong just message eBay to get it removed thanks

quite correct that the neg was removed.

 

However, if its this 'buyer' that you left the false positive for - 

 

If they report your feedback the comment will be removed and that will damage your account more than the neg could.

It's not usually that easy.  In your case the messages and facts proved the buyer was lieing in the feedback and they mentioned getting ebay involved, which ebay doesn't like, or at least, didn't like.

 

In many other cases where the seller disagrees with feedback ebay won't remove it.

 

To be removed it has to move from 'buyer's opinion' to breaking one of the feedback policy rules.

I only told the truth that this guy bids then cancels and leaves negative feedback I’m not really concerned anymore because you will never please everyone and I am genuine with anything I sell so there’s no reason to worry what others say as long as your always going to refund and please the buyers nothing else you can do but that but thank you for your information appreciate Matt

I have 4 negative feedbacks in 6 years on eBay all from buyers that had to wait for there items postage delivery late all bar one received the items one got damaged and I refunded all buyers. All of them still left negative feedback if you sell an item damaged or not as described then yes negative feedback if you sell copy fake or false item yes negative feedback but postal service is out of my hands it’s got tracking number but they still left negative feedback that’s something eBay should change thanks for replying Matt.

Shot myself in the foot posting this message as week later guy puts up negative feedback because the postage was late by week I put in tracking numbers the guy never contacted me to say anything and in negative feedback he said tbe club had a running mark on it which it never and that the wrapping was poor yet he received the item

undamedged but moaned about it’s wrapping I offer refund for the club and also pictures of the said mark nothing back no reply he got a very nice condition golf driver for £40 it’s starting price eBay advertise me to start it at that £40 golf club was worth £80-120 average price on eBay. I ran eBay explained the situation this time they left negative feedback as the club took so long arrive and guy never opened a case with eBay never contacted me and never sent pictures to prove his claim so win some lose some feedback needs to be overalled to make it fair and unbiased thus was not my fault in anyway delivery was the problem. Trackered numbers were there to track but negative feedback allowed to stay. I am not going to lose sleep over a missable buyer saying things untrue but it would be so much easier if they had looked at the case abd seen I had done nothing wrong or had I not posted it on time which the guy never said anything about just said bad seller took weeks and wrapped in black bags that is how I send them bubble wrap the item then cover it in black bags and tap it everywhere. Just letting people no my predicament thanks
