I sold an item on 17th April, sent and delivered safely, no problems there at all. I had a message two and half weeks later from the buyer stating not everything was there (my partners fault as it was their item/s being sold so they packaged it). No problem, we sent it in the post to them the next day hoping the issue was resolved. Now another two weeks later, they message to say it hadn't been received. This is where it gets a little complicated - the address they gave was not in fact the buyers home address (same one the original item was sent to), but a local post office. We were not aware of this, as the name of the post office could quite easily have been a house name! When the buyer reached out to say they had not got the parcel, I had told them it was sent to the same address used previously, and it had been over two weeks since being sent. The buyer then tells us that, that post office had not been accepting parcels for the last two weeks - same time frame we posted the missing part. I contacted my local post office where it was sent from to seek advice. So I passed on the information that any undelivered parcels would go to a local sorting office and he should contact his local sorting office. A few days later, he says he contacted them but there was nothing there in his name. I just suggested he continually called back every day to check. It's now been a month altogether, and he is now saying he is unhappy with the item as he thinks it is damaged. The item was not damaged in any way at the time of sale, and he has had a plentiful amount of time to let us know previously but has failed to do so. I am now concerned what the next, if any, steps would be to try and resolve this, as I would of course like to upkeep my selling reputation and ensure there's no further issues. Thanks for reading !
