Sold an item that was sent via Royal Mail, after a few days the buyer opened a case as item not received, so i messaged the buyer stating i would chase the item with Royal Mail Royal mail have told me a couple of days ago the item is probably lost, so i have sent the buyer several messages asking does he want a refund or does he want me to resend some more items. No answer from the buyer until today who now states he still wants the item which is fine, however ebay can be involved tomorrow, so am i right in thinking i post off the missing item first thing in the morning and he asks ebay to get involved who automatically send him a refund, he then gets the item and a full refund? any suggestions ! ... I mistakenly thought I'd been sent the wrong replacement iPhone screen and requested to return the item. I later stupidly realised that it is in fact the correct screen (it's been a while since I last had to do a screen replacement and thought it had the wrong connectors) but before I could cancel the request the seller had accepted the return and sent a return label. Hi,   I'd recently sold a reasonably high value item (£50ish total, including P&P). The buyer looked to have a click & collect address of a shop, so I asked to confirm his full name so the shop can tell the difference between multiple parcels they might receive.  Once the buyer replied, I promptly packed and posted the item the next day, using a tracked delivery method and providing the buyer the tracking number.   Ebay sent my payout the next day. All good so far!   2 days after despatch however, Ebay sent me 2 messages to say that the buyers account had placed a bid (it was a Buy It Now item) without their authorisation. Then another to say they had removed the listing (it had already expired because I only had 1 of the item to sell anyway!).  The message told me to contact them on Live Chat with any questions, but Live Chat is not active when I've checked.   What is the potential scenario here?  Given I've posted the item with tracking, Ebay can see that I've done as much as I can as a seller to ensure a safe delivery.  It was only posted after they'd given me the go ahead to do so.  Might it be that the item doesn't get collected or is returned from the address potentially?   I'd had a look for other MC139 related threads, but wanted to ask the community myself in regards mine to see what others' experience might be.   Thanks,   Andy ... I can't seem to reach a real person in eBay support so I'm hoping someone can help. I recently bought something on eBay, I made my payment via PayPal as I have a hundred times. The item shows "Paid" in my purchase history and PayPal shows the transaction complete on their end. However the seller is saying they've not received any funds. This is a long time seller with a 100% postivie rating. I know eBay has recently changed their payment system so transactions are no longer person to person via PayPal. eBay now acts as an intermediary for payments. I'm guessing that has something to do with this, however if anyone could shed some light on the possible cause that would be great. ... View more

I wanted to return an item because it (clothing) was larger than they described it, and as such this should be a free return under ebay's policy. I selected "wrong size" as the reason, because it is, but this said the return shipping would cost more than the item itself, so I closed the menu to start again, but this shut down the entire return request and now I can't try again or contact any staff. I've contacted the seller, but they haven't responded, and since I closed the return on my own I expect they don't have to do anyhing and they can keep my money. What can I do? ... View more

I paid for an item on 19th March 2021. After a long wait what arrived in early july was some switch unit. I had sent a few messages asking about the delay in shipping. The reply I kept getting was because of covid there will be a delay. Because of this delay any links to make a complaint to ebay has been closed. I paid EUR 350 + shipping and taxs of ERU 98.49 . Total of EUR 448.49. I can still message and have messaged about this but have had no relays. I can not find a way to message ebay about this as all links to this auction has gone. Ive tried to bid on jewellery ebay said i csnt as ive 2 umpaid . This was due to the fact that paypal were having difficulties and it took over a week to resolve. Thus i couldnt pay. I recently sold an item on e bay- payment was processed item dispatched and received by buyer - proof of delivery from Royal Mail stating the the buyer refused to accept with a 2nd class signed for. Contacted buyer who has items delivered to a shop that could not scan the e bay number as not on package. I send and have received items without the e bay number included with no problems whatsoever since using e bay. The buyer did not give special instructions as to include the e bay number. As they do not have a return address and the item was delivered to the valid address given but refused delivery (as per e mail received from Royal Mail) - customer in receipt of such, for reasons stated that the person in charge of deliveries could not scan the item. I contacted Royal Mail and they informed me that unaccepted items are sent to Ireland!  I am unsure as to the next stage to take with this issue. As the item was posted the next day and delivered on time and the buyer had not informed the receiver of such delivery and had received the item is this a buyer or seller issue please?   ... View more
