No do I stop offers coming for items I only glanced at

I don't know about anyone else but I'm getting sick and tired of getting offers through for items I have  looked at once and I'm not interested in them but they are stuck on my summary page for a week, since when has this started ? I could understand if I had put it on my watching page but there must be a way of turning this off if anyone can help

If you've received unwanted offers that you want to get rid of so that the offers no longer show up, click on the blue button that says "View Offer Details" and a new page will load up on the screen, with a pop-up in the centre.  If you look at the bottom of the pop-up image it gives you two options - the blue button at the top says "Go To Checkout" in white text, but seeing as you do not want to accept the offer click on the white button beneath it, which says "Decline Offer" in blue text.

Once you have clicked on the Decline Offer button another pop-up appears on the screen.  This one has a field where you can type a message to the seller, although it is not compulsory to do so.  There are two buttons at the bottom of the pop-up.  Click on the blue button that says "Decline Offer" if you're not interested in purchasing the item, in which case the offer will be rejected and it should vanish from the section entitled "Offers".

If for some reason you change your mind click on the white button beneath it that says "Cancel" and  it will take you back to the first pop-up, at which point you can then click the X in the top right hand corner to get back to the advert.  From there click on the My eBay option and you're back at your My eBay page again.

Sadly you can't turn them off. If you want to get rid of the ones you have had, I think you can decline them.

Thanks it takes about a week to be able to delete them, it’s frustrating that they keep turning up, I’m looking for a specific gold Rolex and currently have £30,000 offers on my page ! And none of them come close

When you're just browsing, try using a separate Private or Incognitio window in your web browser. As you're not signed in to eBay in this window, the cookies won't match the items you view to your account.

I'm sure the OP knows by now how to decline an offer but that's not what they're asking!

According to eBays policy

"If a buyer watches your item or adds it to their basket, has an expired Best Offer, abandoned checkout from BIN, or has it marked Save for Later, you can send them special offers."

You should not be getting offers for just looking at a item

It's beyond a joke at this point! I currently have 7 offers recieved on items that I am not watching. If I was interested I'd watch the item, then maybe I'd entertain the offer. But to receive offers on items that I have zero intention of buying is just ridiculous.

Yes I can go into each offer and decline it, but I shouldn't have to waste my time doing that for offers I shouldn't be reeiving in the first place.

Ebay, this needs a serious rethink. Please go back to the previous model of sending offers to potential buyers who have the item saved in their watchlist. This current way of sending out blanket offers to everyone under the sun is highly annoying.

eBay DO send out offers if you just view an item

You don't have to watch etc to get an offer

eBay need to update the page as it is out of date

I ended up on this page for this very reason - I've stopped clicking on a lot of items because I know I'm going to be bombarded with spam later!
