Proving my age without a credit card!

I see others have already asked this question (“I do not have a credit card, is there any other way to prove my age to eBay?”), but received little relevant response, with all manner of ‘real world’ suggestions (from joining porn sites, to showing your driving license!), none of which relate to the exclusive eBay setup.

 I can only assume the answer to be ‘No’.

I’m not sure what other responses you are seeing.the only response I’ve ever seen is the correct one.

eBay only accept a valid credit card on file. That’s it.if you don’t have one, you can prove your age for eBay.

There are plenty of ways to prove your age that are legally acceptable when buying age-restricted items.  However e-Bay will only accept possession of a credit card, presumably because that is simple and therefore cheap.  Any business can conduct itself as it sees fits, within the law.

The answer is very simple: take your business elsewhere.
