Proving my age without a credit card!

I see others have already asked this question (“I do not have a credit card, is there any other way to prove my age to eBay?”), but received little relevant response, with all manner of ‘real world’ suggestions (from joining porn sites, to showing your driving license!), none of which relate to the exclusive eBay setup.

 I can only assume the answer to be ‘No’.

I had the same situation trying to buy a jigsaw blade, I dont have a credit card and have no plans to get one. However the reason I am posting is that after going through all the other ebay tabs of similar items I was considering one of them didnt require proving my age. Is this proof of age triggered by the seller opting for it ?

Because not all seem to. Or perhaps its just business sellers ?

If you cant find the item on the tax dodging site you can always try multiple sellers on ebay until you find one that works.

Yes, it could be a seller option, the whole thing's a complete farce, i
suspect credit card identification is the cheap jack option, save them a
few bob, but cause massive inconvenience for customers, happily their main
rivsl sold me the item without question.
