Tricky INRC

I had an INRC opened and the very next day the buyer sent me a message saying it had now arrived and was more than happy. (The message was sent outside of the case.)

 

The trouble is RM clearly haven't scanned it, so it's not showing as delivered and the buyer hasn't closed the case. I sent them another message asking if they could kindly close the case, but I've only been met with radio silence. I replied to the case thanking them for confirming delivery, hoping they might see it and close the case but again nothing.

 

Do I refund them anyway? I know the case will close after a month but at any time before then they might escalate, and I'll get a ding on my account (which I want to avoid).

Call CS and make sure they read the message from the buyer.

My favourite answer: DO NOTHING.

 

Customer will likely do nothing too and it will close automatically. They have already told you they are happy. 

 

IF they escalate, ring CS and advise them to check the message from the customer. They can remove black marks and refund you. No need to waste your time speaking to them until you have to in my opinion.
