Stop using evri as default!
Summary: carmadzen-4 initiated a discussion expressing a concern about using 'evri' as the default option, which seems to have been acknowledged by others. 1902elder and asleepingdragon responded, but the discussion details are not provided. Ebay needs to stop tricking sellers into using evri as default, they are by far the worst delivery service in the history or couriers, why? why are ebay being used as a tool to remove the royal mail? cos its the only reason i can for them pushing evri on us all or do they want us to stop using the site? i have lost so many items that i bought from here as most ebayers do not pay attention when setting up their auctions that when we buy an item it takes the money for evri straight away, so i am told by sellers, once they set up an auction they have to cancel the item and re add it just to change the courier service, this is a massive inconvenience for both buyer and seller, i do not want to have to mail sellers every time i wanna bid on an item, like many i do impulse buy on here without thinking then end up losing my item because evri just leave it outside to be stolen, they don't even ring my buzzer and if they do, i buzz them in and they just leave it outside and run away, its insane, and the company has no phone number, and refuse to fire the drivers because they are all foreign and don't want the hassle of being branded and naughty word for firing these useless people , so please for the love of all the gods stop this madness! cos at this rate i will just buy from aliexpress and wait a month or 3 for my items but at least i know i'll get them at some point lol

·2 months agoI love Evri. Timed delivery slot. No sitting at home until 7.30pm for Royal Mail to turn up. Give me Evri all the time!

·3 months agoYou obviously don't understand how simple delivery works. Ebay dictates which couriers are available to sellers, these are Royal Mail, Evri and Inpost. Sellers can opt out of those they don't want to use, but then the postage cost increases. Most sellers keep all of them, then Ebay chooses which one a purchase has to be sent with and provides the label. They do tend to choose Evri more than the others. However, the majority of sellers don't have a problem with Evri, most of my sales go with Evri and only rarely is there a problem. As for buying from aliexpress, I would not be surprised if even they use Evri, Temu does. May I suggest you have a look at it yourself and you will then understand.

OP2 months agoyou obviously need to read before replying, when someone says so i am told by, those words mean that person is writing what they are told by others, clearly this person is a buyer not a seller and is going by what they are told 😉, and who cares is others has good experiences with evri, i personally do not know anyone who likes them and i know a lot of people, the company is trash overall and has no place in our lives.
