Hi, I was interested (ok curious) in (part of) a lot It had had no interest and I wondered if it would be sniped - Well it got 1 bid in the last hour of the auction and sold for £100, funny thing is that I repeated a search for similar items and BAM, brand new listing from the same seller, less than a minute after the original ended, asking £399 - is this shill bidding, has the account been hacked, or is this some other scam I'm not familiar with? Hi I have been trying to report a seller for knowingly over pricing an item on ebay.   Ebay encourage this - There is even a whole page about "Price Gouging" in the Help Section telling you how to do it.   But when you follow the instructions there is no "Report Price Gouging" option in the drop down menu in "Report this Item"?   Does anyone know how to contact ebay to tell them about this? Everything seems to be an automatic response that just sends you to the "Help Section" again?   No one is actually reading & understanding what the problem is?   Thanks Kind regards Gary     ... I have recently sold an item on ebay, I check out the buyers to see if they are good ebayers, and this particular ebayer had 100% positive feedback( didnt go into the feedback in detail just the update screen)   Unfortunatey I am having issues with them, which was a surprise due to their unblemished record, but when I opened up their feedback I found that whilst they have all green when you read them, there are several that are definitely negative feedback but they have a green + next to them... how is that possible? Has anyone had eBay tell them an item is no longer available, not to pay when you already have,then have PayPal take the payment. The question is ? how do you get a refund.  PayPal say go to your eBay purchases, but as eBay has marked the item no longer available you can't open on that particular item. I have a couple of saved searches for cars. Week in and week out the same cars are posted for sale on hijacked profiles. The same photos and literally a thousand or so items posted on the same profile from caravans, jetskis, motorcycles ....you name it. I report them each and every time but they stay there for days whilst the less wary are probably parting with money. How can ebay be so slow to react or even not have an algorithm that picks up the same photo's that get used every time? Certainly does nothing for 'trust and safety'. ... View more

i sold an item (original Gucci loafers) on ebay. the buyer scammed me using eBay protection scheme.  He claimed they are fake and requested a return/ refund. I have a receipt/ proof of purchase. But eBay didn't communicate with me and didn't ask for any proof of my purchase! I have a reciept for the shoes bout online from gucci store. they just debited money! And buyer now refuses to send my shoes back. He claims that he wasn't told to send them back by ebay. So he kept my shoes and my money. It is impossible to get in touch with ebay. I am devastated by how unprotected and helpless i am in this situation.   buyer tells me that ebay didnt tell him to return the item and that they told him thet refund was donr by ebay not by me. I was selling my belongings because i need to survive during the pandemic, its not my bussiness. I lost my expensive shoes and money.   I feel scared that as a seller you seam to be not protected at all. i dont know what else should i. I've had a seller print my full private home number on a parcel posted to me.  How the heck has she found my telephone number.  Ebay told me it was on an invoice from PayPal but PayPal have a different number to eBay.  How has a seller found it as I can't find numbers anywhere? ... View more

Every item listed by these 2 sellers are also listed on Amazon but the sellers are adding up to 50% when selling on ebay. The item then arrives from Amazon. Surely this scam should be stopped ... View more

So, my ebay account got hacked.  I noticed a seller agreement confirmation email in my inbox this morning and then a listing in my name for some watch!   Obviously I then logged into my account, deleted the listing, changed password and added 2 step verification etc (there was a chinese phone number in place of mine!).   Did all that, then shortly afterwards, received an email from ebay saying my account was suspended.  I replied confirming actions I'd taken, and got an email back saying my account presented an unacceptable risk level and it was best we part ways.   **bleep**.  Is that me stuffed now then?    😞 ... i have been searching for a particular item on ebay and had seen an item and communicated amicably with the seller. whilst doing further browsing for similar items i saw 2 other listings with the same photos as the other ebay listing and alerted the seller that other ebayers seemed to be using their images to sell replica items. Having done this, i then received a message from the seller seemingly accusing me of creating these fraudulent listings to which i had alerted them! ..i explained i had not done so and that i was merely trying trying to help alert them to the fact that others maybe using their images to sell replicas! i have now received threatening accusations along the same lines once more and have no other option than to defend myself... advice on what my next steps should be would be greatly appreciated...thanks in advance. ... One of the IDs is not set up to pay with PayPal. If I pack the vases together they will have the same Tracking. Can this work? Are there snags? Can an eBay username not have a valid PayPal associated account? ... View more
