eBay making a item no longer available

Has anyone had eBay tell them an item is no longer available, not to pay when you already have, then have PayPal take the payment.

The question is ? how do you get a refund.

PayPal say go to your eBay purchases, but as eBay has marked the item no longer available you can't open on that particular item.

Meanwhile PayPal has still got your money. In this case £17.99

That Ebay removed the listing from the site doesn't mean you won't receive your item. The listing may have got caught up in the urgent sweeps that Ebay is doing to rid the site of profiteers, price-gougers, and illegally-trading sellers. But if your order hasn't arrived within a few days of the delivery estimate, and you find you can't open an Item Not Received case on Ebay, just open one in PayPal.

No. Please consider cross-checking your eligibility of opening a Paypal case for 'Item not as described' or 'item not received' if EBay really has jammed things up completely for you. They are very approachable and helpful at Paypal when this happens and will run checks very thoroughly over the 10 or so days thay inform you it will take to reach an outcome for your case.

It could be that the Seller you have made your transaction with has been taken off EBay or removed for misconduct reasons / voluntarily removed themselves in which case Paypal will get to the bottom of this. In my experience in cases of foul play being involved Paypal rules the case in your favour and issues you with a refund which you receive four working days later.

I hope you get this resolved as I 'smell a rat' too. Best of luck: Contact Paypal as soon as possible is my advice slight_smile

I'm having a similar issue. EBay have said that a third party may have used the sellers account. However they then say seller has not marked the item as paid so can't raise the dispute. Payment has been taken from my PayPal
