I am a fairly new seller and im running into an issue shipping my items ( specifically Trading Cards )
I started out with padded envelopes with tracking and haven't ran into problems.
Until I started selling less expensive cards using regular envelopes and second class postage which is cheaper ( because I cant justify spending twice what the card im selling is worth just to ship it ) but does not have "regular tracking" as a result I have 6 orders with funds on hold after 20 to 30 days of them having been posted.
My question now is what can I do to get paid for what's been sold and shipped ? and should I just take this as a lesson and only sell higher value items which justifies the higher shipping costs for padded envelopes with tracking to avoid sitting on unresolved order for weeks ?
I did try messaging the buyers some never replied and those that did claimed to have received the items and said they would try and inform ebay but surprise surprise the items they received are still mark as not delivered running behind schedule AND funds still on hold.

Buyers can't mark as delivered, the postal tracking does that automatically. If you don't use tracking ebay will hold your payments for up to 30 days while they consider you a new seller. After you've sold a bit longer the money won't be held.

There's no option for buyer's to mark as 'received'.

Thank you for this but are you saying that I have to wait for 30 days? She signed for it and has had it for 2weeks and I've heard nothing. It was sent royal mail signed for?

It depends on whether you are on the 'normal' 14 day hold, or the longer one for new sellers. Put 'payment holds' into the help search box.

It looks like eBay have recently revised another policy. Now it is only "New or infrequent business sellers" that are subject to the 30 day hold. This is obviously due to "Buyer Protection"; I'm guessing the OP's holds are due to their sales occurring before the BPF kicked in.

What does it say in your payouts?

So another change and a way to implement a longer " payout" scenario by eBay?
Business sellers do not have this added as their buyers are already protected under law. Agree though, it could be due to previously being a private seller and awaiting until the "specified time" has passed which could be the 14 or the 30 days hold?
To keep you and the marketplace safe?
Or would it be eBay being keeping funds " safe" for their future endeavours?
Far too many people now commenting on here and other places that eBay have " indefinitely" placed funds on hold...some amounting to £1000's... suggesting it is not a "safe" business practice for either business or private sellers using the platform.

The best way is to request a call back @jeanbarr57
It can be advantageous to call early in the mornings to speak with an actual agent in Ireland as they tend to have more knowledge.
