Solution to failed revised listing due to Postage must be Zero message in Red ( Common problem)

I’ve read the forum regarding many people trying to Revise a listing

and getting a Red message saying “ First Postage value must be 0” ie zero

I think this is when the seller wants to pay the postage so has chosen the

Custom Postage option when creating the listing.

I finally cracked this! To pay the postage yourself when selling you

obviously select the Seller Pays option. On the left of this option button

is the Buyer Pays option.

The zero value the red warning sign refers to is Within the Buyer Pays option.

Sooooooo, although you want to pay postage, click on the Buyer Pays button

- you will then be asked to put in a value for this - enter >>>>>> 0 , yes, the zero the

red message refers to. Then make sure you select the Seller Pays button.

Hopefully this helps many others who have been pulling out their hair

as Ebay haven’t seemed to offer this advice.

Perhaps give this message a thumbs up or whatever so we can see how many

peeps this has helped?

( I’m just another UK occasional seller and buyer) Cheers and good luck !!

Solution to failed revised listing due to Postage must be Zero message in Red ( Common problem)

Hi, me again, nicknock53 , as in the Listing solution above.

Perhaps for an Ebay moderator to adjust the Red alert message we get

when trying to revise a listing and pay for postage as seller.

If the Red error message at the top of the attempted revision

was worded differently to -

“Please ensure the postage value , after selecting  the Buyer pays Postage

button , is Zero and THEN select then Seller Pays Postage button.”

Your current Red box wording mentions “ First postage value “ , which to most of us

does not clearly mean “the buyer pays” option.

I hope that makes sense.
