Additional fees on private listings

Hi, does anybody know why there is an additional fee above the buyer protection fee and the 4% on private listings. I am for example listing an item for £29 including postage. When I view my own listing,  I see the price is £37.60 broken down to item price as £35.67 + buyer protection fee  £1.93. And it does not say postage included. But it says ask seller about postage. It's driving me nuts, is there an added fee for buyers in UK during the weekend? I am not promoting the listing, so that can't be reason.

not sure where to find the listing number, just forwarded the link for it to my what's app. See above. Also all my other listing selling prices have shot up today. Not sure if this is a weekend thing, same thing happened last weekend, when I was listing someting new. Buyer bought on Monday and the price she paid was the one just including the 4% and buyer protection fee, as intended. 
I have just had a look at some other people's listings, which I browsed yesterday. The prices are up today, Saturday, from what they were yesterday. Looks like selling and buying during the weekend is now a big no no.

Hi, something happened there after my message with the link to you on the seller community, all my listing prices have miraculously gone down to just the normal listing price plus buyer protection fee. So the one I sent the link for went down to £30,88 with free postage, instead of more than £37 with just a message about having to enquire seller about postage. 🙏
Was going to give up selling on ebay, as really don't want anyone to have to pay extortionate fees. But will stick with it now.

It is now showing £5.88 postage by Yodel for me, although it does say postage included in your description.

Thanks, and price has gone up to £37,60 again, earlier it settled back to £30,88 and said free postage. Just looked and it's £37,60 now, no mention of postage apart from ask seller about it. It's a bit like a weekend VAT added to the price. I think next weekend I'll stop all my sales for two days and see how it goes on a Monday again. Shame as weekends used to be the time to sell. Now no one is buying. Not to worry. Leena

From this and all the other issues I am reading about it would appear that the whole site has developed so many issues that it has gone into a tailspin! - and all of their own making.

I will just continue to keep my items on pause and see how the next week unfolds! - but I am not holding my breath for a fast fix!

Only reason I could imagine is if you accidentally have viewed it with your location listed as Jersey or the channel islands etc. Shows £30 odds  for me now.

Thank you, that is what it should be. I just don't understand why it keeps changing, I did have to go and correct the postage manually. Thought I had already done it. I still see the £37.60 with ask seller about postage, when I view my listing. But good if correct price is shown for potential buyers.

Thanks, I'll double check my details as had the problem a month ago, when I had temporarily changesd my address to Ireland (I wanted to buy something from ebay, when I was there for a month). I did correct it, but could be some remnant from that. 😀Leena

The tv ad says "its now free to sell on ebay"

one item i put up was up marked by £30, it was collection only due to being 15ft long!

I guess this is all down to ebay now taking full control including the posting. It would appear that they have joined up with Evri and cover all loses, yet seeing is believing.
