I advertised an oven and a buyer put in an offer and asked if they could arrange collection but I said no it is Collection in person only and declined the offer.
they then bought it and said they were arranging a courier. I told them I wouldn’t do that and they then cancelled the order. I have processed the refund but eBay have charged me £80 fees but it hasn’t sold. What can I do to get this back please?

"but it hasn’t sold"
It had to sell for you to get paid - exactly how did you cancel the order, what reason did you use?

The buyer cancelled the order as they couldn’t collect it. I approved the cancellation and the money was refunded from the pending payment. I had to enter a payment method for the fees as it wouldn’t cancel without it.

Are you aware that if a buyer sends a third party to collect then they can't open an eBay return and get a refund that route?
You actually have more protection as a seller if the buyer doesn't collect it themselves - if they do, they can drive 400 miles away, claim not as described and then you have the joyous task of trying to get your expensive and heavy item back within 3 days, or they end up with the refund and the item.
