Feedback

hi all

i have recently bought an item (from china, i should have known better), which when arrived wrong, so I contacted the seller who told me it was sent to protect my privacy, and the real item would be with me in a couple of days. When that parcel arrived , again was wrong. I left feedback, honest feedback with pictures, to which was taken down a couple of days later by eBay. What I would like to know if anyone has an answer is why it was taken down? If eBay are going to remove “negative” feedback even though it’s honest, how do we know who the scammers are? I never resolved the issue with the sender who said I could keep the item and he would refund me, then the next day said I could keep the item to sell and he would give me a 30% refund which I declined as I don’t want the hassle of selling. And everytime I gave him a price for return postage, as apparently that is my problem, they said it was too expensive get something cheaper. So basically what is feedback for if they remove the honest negative feedback?

It would have helped if you told us exactly what you wrote in that feedback for us to give you a correct answer.

There are feedback rules to follow,  if you mention anything about a case, refund, or any eBay involvement or saying the item was a fake,  the seller can ask for the feedback to be removed.

Chinese sellers will fob you off with many excuses and promises. One thing to be aware of is the item's location.  If it sates a place in the UK it goes back to the UK not China,  and the seller does pay for that tracked return postage if they want their item back first.
