I bought some furniture during lockdown. Do you think it's now safe to drive the 40 miles to collect it? I can't find a definitive answer. I consider that I have been treated very badly by E-Bay and it seems impossible to contact them about any specific matter.   In the first instance I was charged for an item which was never delivered.   This was before lockdown so if the item was delivered it should have had a signature.  But the carrier never supplied a signature.  They said it was  'handed to resident' .   They believed the carrier rather than me and the seller did not refund the money. The day before yesterday I ordered a garden chair and paid immediately on Paypal.  By the time E-Bay mailed me to say that the seller had hacked into another seller's site and offered the item much cheaper, the payment had gone through.  E bay has removed the item from  their list but that doesn't help me.   ... I have opened a return and the seller has accepted. The 'Tracked 48' postage label is for a weight of 0-2kgs but the item packaged is 2.77 kgs. The packaging is not more than 300 grams so just the item alone weighs more than 2 kgs. The post office will not accept the parcel. Please can someone tell me what I should do. Thank you.  ... Hi, recently purcahsed an xbox controller off a seller 2 weeks ago, never recieved it, turns out it was fraudalent, i paid with my debit card, have been in contact with ebay over this, keep telling me to go through paypal to open a case up, i cant as i dont have paypal and when i try going through that it tells me i have no transactions. Its only 18 euro but thats not the point, the seller scammed alot of buyers with this item. Bought through ebay.ie. Recieved a message from ebay saying the item was removed. Any advice? ... Won a bid for a digital piano. Sent seller a message before bidding but it had 8 hours left so I thought I'll put in a bid anyway. The seller hasn't replied to the first message or subsequent messages over the last 3 days. Here are the questions I asked -   1) Hi, as you are using the stock image for this piano, Can you confirm that I'll be receiving the piano, stand, stool, headphones as pictured? 2) Can you deliver this to a different address than that registered on my eBay account? 3) I just realised that in the description "delivered by Royal Mail LL" could mean Large Letter.  Can I confirm you will be sending the actual piano in the description and image?   Seller hasn't responded to any question.   I know the general concensus is to pay first and enquire later.  but I am worried about being scammed.   What does everyone else think I should do? ... I ordered some car parts then received an email directly from the carriers (UPS) telling me when they would deliver. How do they (and presumably the seller)  know my email address? If I sell anything there is nothing on Ebay or Paypal that tells me the buyer's email address.   Regards Martin ... View more

Tried to purchase an Item on ebay. Went through all the usual and completed. Then 1 hour later received email saying I needed to resend payment as it hadn't gone through. Checked ebay account and the item has disappeared from the purchase history. No transaction appears to have occurred from what I can tell.
