Hi,
Our "manage orders" recently changed to a new layout on our account.
It's almost the same as before, just buttons are in different places, which is not the big problem, however there is one very important bit which ebay developers forgot about - time of the purchase.
"Date sold" in the past was containing a date and time of the purchase and now it was reduced to the date alone, which makes procesing orders especially around "cut off" time politely saying difficult.
Does anybody know how we can switch to old version, which was working perfectly fine for years ?
Thanks for your help and please be aware that your accounts will be switched to that new layout shortly, so be afraid, ebay "improvements" are coming...

Please see attached, why on earth they decided to remove time of purchase, any other selling platform will clearly show you the time of purchase, just mad ebay developers decided to remove it for completely unknown reason ???

Ive just checked mine and the dates still there so not sure why yours isnt, unless mine hasnt changed, but with respect to "cut off" time Im not sure i understand your issue as it says on the left "dispatch by. 20th Sept" Once your cut off time passes that date changes. I have set my cutt off to 10am for same day, so I dont have to worry about anyone coming in during the day thinking its same day, eventhough im set at same day delivery 😉

Thanks for your reply. For us having the time is crucial, especially when we process th orders around the "cut off" time. Our cut off is 1pm, but we are often in th position to process more orders, so having that time is very helpful for us. There is the other reason, when other systems go down, for example when last time Royal Mail Click&Drop was down it was quite a nightmare, but because of those times we could process the orders quite smoothly, however if anything similar happens now, it will be a disaster...

but if your cutt off is 1pm you will see in the 1st column the dispatch date change at 13.01 to next day, so would that not help?

I see that it wasn't broken, so E-bay has decided has decided to fix it!

That's exactly what they did 😂

Mine has no time of sale - and even worse, no postcode.

Yes, They removed the postcode too, but at least with the postcode you can go to the actual order and it's there, but the time is not there, they remove it completely. We all got used to never ending ebay glitches and never ending "improvements", but this recent change of something which never needed changing is quite frankly stupid. Why ebay is not tackling massive exodus of buyers from the platform (and sellers), why not focus on buyers experience and making things easier for a sellers, repair what's broken (EDD's, search engine, customer support), remove all the promoted *bleep*, lower the fees, so ebay sellers can compete with Temu, Shein, Aliexpress. How on earth they hoping for the ebay platform to survive with fees (including promo) higher than on Amazon, but only offering fraction of Amazon quality service. No suprise that hardly anybody is still shoping on ebay and all sales are fallen off the cliff. Rant over...

I dont know if this will be helpful.
If they have changed to url for you, then you might still be able to use the old one since myself and others are still seeing the time and postcode.
Worth a try.

Thank you, but unfortunately that doesn't work for me. The result is still the same.
It's a real nuisance, losing the postcodes, because I use these to do a final check of my parcels before posting (one parcel per postcode). I realise the information is still there in the orders, but it was really handy to have them all on the same page.

Thanks for your message. I just tried and sadly it doesn't work...

There was a question asked on the weekly chat about the time of sale being apparently calculated as UK time for some purposes (eg dispatch by date) and as American time for others (eg estimated delivery joke date shown to buyers).
Dave did helpfully reply (in part) "We do have servers in different countries so there is the possibility that it shows local time to where its based. I'll ask for this to be looked into and updated if possible. "
Perhaps this is an example of "be careful what you wish for", and eBay have removed the anomaly for us by treating all sales as "dispatch by yesterday and deliver by today" ...
