I think we've touched on this on a different thread a while back. On a numbers perspective if you mainly use fixed price listings and sell UK only, a basic shop stacks up beter if you're less than 750 listings/ month
Basic shop cost £27, having 250 fixed listings and extra ones at 10p. The jump to feature shop is an extra £50 which is equivalent to 500 listings.
The other much smaller considerations are loss of 'free international listings in 13 countries', loss of 'European sales booster' and comparative pricing via api.
One thing not mentioned on the list that was a legacy difference between basic and feature stores was within your shop, the search bar searches shop only on a feature store where as on a basic store it by default searches eBay.
I was contemplating dropping down a level and possibly running two stores in the New Year but decided to push hard and list as much as possible to take advantage of all the listings allowance. I got up to over 1100 active listings but struggling with sales to list as much as is selling at this time of year. I've now committed to EU sales for another year investing in a responsible person so that plans gone out the window and I'm sticking with featured.

Hoping its downgrade Jan 1st and its smooth transition, if thats not the scenario thats the bit that concerns
Im terrible with names but a Brizzle seller got me thinking on slow moving inventory so will refreshen things up hopefully with rotation, save a few pennies at the same time. The New Year can be quieter so its a bit of a no brainer, then there is seasonality, plus the stopping of private sellers selling Baby Toys has failed so theres another reason, add in reduced admin time on the platform which for me is really becoming annoying.
People are talking about changes in the New year as well, think Ive seen it mentioned in a few threads so while the New Year can be quiet, putting energy into other things
Good selling period for uou @ojewellery
