digital downloads not allowed on ebay.co.uk

i sell motorcycle and car manuals

i have over 30k of them 

how comes ebay.com allows digital downloads but ebay uk & ireland do not

ie: i can list digital downloads on ebay.com but not ebay.co.uk

i have not tried any other ebay sites yet

at the moment i have to use a web server to sell them with a paypal link 

can someone please advise

No idea why the US site allows them, but make sure that you own the content, including any images (or are licensed to reproduce it for commercial gain) else you may be on the receiving end of a copyright infringement bill.

I sold digital downloads for about 15 years on ebay.co.uk

However they have to be in the right category (everything else) and you must own the rights to the media.

There are different rules/legislation for each country.  However, digital downloads aren't allowed in the US either unless the seller is approved by eBay:

US policy:

Electronically delivered goods can only be listed by eBay approved sellers and must follow our policy.

UK policy:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/policies/prohibited-restricted-items/electronically-delivered-items-poli...

Electronically delivered items need to be listed in the Everything Else > Information Products category in the classified ad format.
