Hi,
Having just sold an item on my private account,I printed out the Simple Delivery pre generated label,
literally minutes later the buyer got in touch, Obviously they must have got the shipped notification,
They said the address on their Ebay account was their old address and would i be able to post to the new one,
Its only £7 so not an issue for me regarding the seller protection.
Normally i would just cancel the label and generate a new one,Then wait for the refund a week or so later.
The thing is i couldnt find a way to edit the address, Now if its not possible thats quite an issue,
In the past ive had buyers whos address was incorrect or contained too many letters where editing is something that needs to be done,
Apologises if it can and i just missed it but having tried myself i really couldnt see how it can be done.

It can't be edited. You will need to cancel and relist.

Thanks i suspected as much.
I cancelled and bought a label via Royal Mail, much easier.

Has the buyer not bought anything for a while? Otherwise, they should have updated their delivery address in their eBay account.

If you are relisting the item for the buyer to buy from your eBay listing again, forward them this link below, as there are 5 addresses to change when you move home.
https://accountsettings.ebay.co.uk/uas/addresses
Also, at eBay checkout before paying , advise them to look left at the delivery address showing there, that it is correct, if not it can be amended there, too.

It has never been possible to edit the "ship to" address. If the item is sent to another address the buyer is guaranteed to win an "item not received" Money Back Guarantee case should they open one.
As @papso22 pointed out you need to cancel the order; not just the label. Then you need to relist the item so the buyer can re-purchase and enter the correct delivery address during checkout. Trying to solve the problem any other way will leave you vulnerable to losing the item and the money.

And, in case nobody else has mentioned it, asking for the address to be changed may be an indication of a scammer. If you use a different address you forfeit any chance of ebay protection.

At what point in time is it better to just throw the towel in and forget selling on ebay?
Simple Delivery process - surely those who got remuneration for this designing total fiasco can not be allowed to remain in the company?
Has there ever been such an ill conceived process presented to users?
No wonder Business Sellers who carry more weight have been shielded from the process thus far, with the Private sellers being the Guinea Pigs.

According to the SD guidance page, the first bit of the address can be edited, but not the full address.

Allocate total time to ebay, should the seller be forced to waste time relisting items to circumnavigate an ill designed process, simply list less or perform fewer activities. This waste of time, which has been created by design, is beyond the scope of the sellers.
In fact the work-a-round's have been provided by members or Mentors i believe, are ebay ignorant of these 'fixes'?
Maybe if less activity is seen on the platform , the reaction could be one of a positive nature?

Even without the Simple Delivery issue, do not send to an address that is not shown on the checkout page. Cancel and get them to pay again with the correct address, otherwise you don't have seller protection.
