Having received a notification about the new "eBay Premium Service" badge, and being a passionate, lifelong badge collector (a badgeaholic, as we say in the badge-collecting fraternity!), having amassed 99% (damn you, Blue Peter!!!) of the badges I set out to, erm, amass over my lifetime, and being a sucker for a free badge, this seemed right up my alley and a great chance to amass another one!
However, just as I was about to reply to the message by saying 'just send it on over, you've got my address!' I noticed various stipulations including having to offer buyers free postage. No problem, I thought, I'll do that and I'll be one badge to the good quicker than you can say "zastępca asystenta bibliotekarza", which I can't as I don't speak Polish!
Unfortunately the man in the post office has a slightly different point of view from mine and insists that I still have to pay for the stuff I post. There's just no reasoning with some people! So anyway, that's now two badge-related dreams shattered within the space of 45 years (damn you Blue Peter and eBay!!!).
Actually, now I think about it, I'm not actually that interested in badges. Don't know why I started collecting them in the first place really. I think the time has come to break up by prized badge collection.
Does anyone want to buy three assorted badges? I should point out that one has no pin on the back and one is missing the front bit. Actually, that one never had a front bit so it may just be a pin. I suppose I could stick it to the badge that has no pin, but that would mean my collection would be reduced by 33%, which is just too much to lose in one go. Also, in case anyone was going to ask, there are no Blue Peter (or eBay) badges amongst the collection.
I am looking for opening offers around the 50p-75p range. I would have included free postage with any sale but... well, you know!
