Can someone please explain the contents on eBays plan for 1st & 2nd Class letter and large letter post as read in todays (7th April) seller hub from the eBay team.

Why do they explain and make things so difficult.

but do they 'explain' or does someone just throw a few words together whether relevant or not because although i am not thick they certainly manage to confuse me!

Currently the Letter and Large Letter services are grouped under one service on eBay. These are two Royal Mail services with different prices. eBay are now going to split those into two services on new listings.

I assume the reason for is that the Large Letter service should come with a scan on delivery ("tracking" in simplistic terms), whereas Letter does not. So presumably eBay want to show the tracking for Large Letters but not for Letter, which is perhaps a current point of confusion on some listings.

Prices haven't changed, just eBay adjusting how they display it.

@crn303 one thing for you is the sentence, "This change will not apply when using Simple Delivery." so, as you're a private seller, it won't apply to your listings except for on any items which are both <100g and <£10.
