Simple delivery set to Evri, charged Royal Mail

This has happened twice now. I set up simple delivery to exclude RM and this means Evri was the only postage option, the items sold and both times the prepaid postage I am charged is for RM, so I am charged an extra 42p for each item.

Has this happened to anyone else?

I've not sold anything with SD, but the page where you choose Evri and/or RM tells you there can be exclusions - at least on a web browser. I hardly ever use the app.

I get it that RM might override evri because they don’t deliver everywhere but what reason could there be for evri to override RM

no evri drop off points  near  sellers location? I doubt ebays system is that advanced but who knows

That's one of the specific examples they give.

There may be exceptions where preferred couriers are unavailable due to your location or package size.

I have excluded RM so only have Evri as postage option, the items were to mainland UK so no reason why RM were even used for that. 

I was told by CS to not use the label and tell the customer I will send the item at a later date when the ebay "team" fix the issue. Sales are bad enough without trying to pee off customers!

I wouldn't do anything CS advised me to do! They are notorious for giving poor advice.

I doubt that’s the reason

the OP is in Stockport , plenty of evri drop off points

evri not doing a certain package size that RM do  isn’t true
